Sustainably handmade
Fréya Hats South Africa has a steadfast commitment to sustainability so we try be as sustainable as possible - from production to packaging. Each hat is handmade locally in South Africa from natural fibres or up-cycled materials. The hats were first made from discarded fabric sample books and as we evolved so did our fabric options. All our hats are made by female-owned CMTs based in South Africa.
Fashion with a purpose
We believe in supporting our local communities. Therefore, a portion of all profits is donated to charities which support women and children in need. We donate more than 1% of profit to charty.
Our name
pronounced: f-ray -uh
Freya means lady and in Scandinavian mythology she was the goddess of love.
